I’m delighted to be involved in this exciting event at Walker Books, organised by IBBY, the International Board on Books for Young People, a non-profit organisation (with an official status in UNESCO and UNICEF) representing a world-wide network of people committed to bringing books and children together.  It was set up to promote international understanding through children’s books, and give children everywhere the opportunity to have access to books with high literary and artistic standards. Thanks to IBBY, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child includes an appeal to all nations to promote the production and distribution of children’s books. Find out more about IBBY and its work here.

All welcome – please share!
